SHB is a combination of interval training and static stretching, targeting all the major muscle groups. The goal is to get to true muscle fatigue in each section (i.e. the Barre burn or shake), and then subsequently stretch the muscles for relief. Throughout each workout we consistently blend isometric contractions with eccentric movement, to create sculpted, lean lines in less time.

SHB is highly intense, however low-impact meaning it is accessible to all. In fact, it’s a great longevity form of exercise known to improve flexibility, bone density, posture and alignment; as well as enhancing physical stamina and mental endurance - akin to that of a dancer. The beauty of SHB is that you will never plateau as increased understanding of the technique leads to even deeper burnout in the muscles, and the shake in fact becomes addictive.

All the SHB workouts are designed so that you can get the same results at home as you would do at a Barre studio in person. Either select from a wide range of prop-free workouts, or use a kitchen counter, chair or wall for the thigh and seat sections at the Barre.
The method is carefully designed to work all the major muscle groups to create a leaner, sculpted body as well as reducing body fat and improving posture. A blend of isometric and eccentric movements, throughout the class, get you to that infamous ‘shake’ and deliberately tone the smaller stabilising muscles to create long, lean lines like that of a dancer.
It’s a highly transformative workout for the body, from which you will see results in just a few sessions. However it’s low-impact and designed to evolve with you, making it accessible but challenging to all.
